Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing front desk operations in a dental office setting. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in various electronic health record (EHR) systems, and the ability to handle patient inquiries with professionalism and care. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups Handle dental billing and coding tasks, including CPT and ICD-10 coding, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Conduct insurance verification and assist patients with their inquiries regarding coverage. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review while adhering to confidentiality standards. Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems. Assist with patient intake processes and care plans as needed. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient service delivery. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for administrative tasks. Requirements Previous experience in a front desk role within a medical or dental office is preferred. Familiarity with dental terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and insurance processes is preferred. (Willing to train) Strong computer skills with experience in EHR systems such as OpenDental or Eaglesoft. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are required. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance communication with diverse patient populations. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. A background in health information management or medical office management is advantageous. Strong typing skills and experience with 10-key typing for data entry tasks.
