We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook/Dishwasher to join our culinary team. This dual-role position is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the food industry, with experience in meal preparation and food safety practices. You will play a vital role in both cooking delicious meals and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other culinary tools. Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene practices. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods. Assist with catering events as needed, providing support for meal setup and breakdown. Experience Previous experience in a catering or restaurant environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential. Familiarity with kitchen operations, including meal preparation techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
