Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, office procedures, and the ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage multi-line phone systems, addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments efficiently. Perform insurance verification and assist with patient intake processes. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards. Utilize EMR systems such as Epic for patient management. Assist in medical billing and coding tasks including CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10. Review care plans and ensure proper documentation is maintained. Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and data entry using Microsoft Office applications. Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate smooth operations within the clinic or office environment. Handle patient inquiries regarding services and provide information about clinic policies. Qualifications Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar front desk role is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and coding (ICD coding, CPT coding) is essential. Proficiency in using EHR systems such as Epic. Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are required. Bilingual candidates are highly desirable to assist diverse patient populations. Knowledge of health information management practices and HIPAA regulations is necessary. Experience in medical billing or collections is a plus; familiarity with Medicare processes is beneficial. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review tasks. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
