Growing mid-sized firm located in Madison Wisconsin is seeking to add a Patent Attorney to their growing Intellectual Property practice. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years’ experience and will be managing a wide range of patent-related matters. You\'ll work directly with inventors and clients, providing comprehensive legal counsel that goes beyond simple prosecution to include strategic advice, litigation support, and licensing. Draft, file, and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications. Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate searching and analysis. Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to identify and protect innovations. Advise on IP strategy, portfolio management, and risk mitigation. Support IP litigation, licensing, and due diligence activities Qualifications
A background in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is preferred, although the ideal candidate must be willing and able to practice in more than one technical area. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Member of the US Patent Bar. One to three years of experience in patent prosecution is preferred. Compensation
