Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. A background in food service or hospitality is preferred, as you will be working closely with culinary staff to support food preparation and service. Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste as needed. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by kitchen staff, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients. Support banquet and catering events by ensuring all necessary items are cleaned and ready for service. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours. Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times. Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the kitchen supervisor promptly. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy setting. Experience with bussing tables, serving food, or culinary tasks is a plus. Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities within the kitchen as needed. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
