Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Adhere to food safety standards and regulations during all food handling processes. Collaborate with team to ensure timely meal service. Assist with menu planning and special dietary needs as required. Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low. Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred. Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques. Experience in food service or the restaurant industry is highly desirable. Strong knife skills and knowledge of meal preparation methods. Understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Culinary experience or formal training is an asset but not mandatory. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
