Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires proficiency in dental terminology, chairside assisting, and familiarity with Patterson Fuse. A strong understanding of infection control and aseptic techniques is essential to ensure a safe and efficient environment for both patients and staff. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient procedures while maintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and HIPAA guidelines. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-operative care instructions. Monitor vital signs as necessary during procedures to ensure patient safety. Support pediatric dentistry needs by creating a welcoming environment for young patients and their families. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders when necessary to ensure adequate stock levels. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively. Experience Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, with hands-on experience in chairside assisting and knowledge of general dentistry practices. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus, along with experience in prosthodontics and endodontics. Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and vital signs monitoring is required. A strong commitment to infection control practices and aseptic techniques is crucial for this role.
