A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to provide specialized education in a self-contained classroom serving high school students with hearing impairments and additional learning needs. This contract position spans the current school year.

Delivering direct instruction in core academic subjects using differentiated strategies, accessible formats, and visual supports to optimize student engagement. Utilizing American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication methods to facilitate full access to instruction and promote interaction within the classroom. Collaborating with support staff and families to foster a positive learning environment. Qualifications: Illinois certification as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher. Proficiency in ASL with the ability to incorporate it effectively into daily instruction. Demonstrated experience working with deaf or hard of hearing students across a range of abilities. Strong understanding of strategies to support learners with additional educational needs. Location: High school classroom setting in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
