This position is for a Teacher specialized in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, serving K-8 learners during the 2025-2026 school year. This is a contract role located in Jamestown, CA, requiring in-person work and offering part-time hours. The assignment spans from August 15, 2025, through June 5, 2026, with a commitment of 20 hours per week.
A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role Please ensure you check the overview below carefully. Responsibilities include: Delivering specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing from kindergarten through 8th grade. Providing itinerant services across various school sites as needed. Collaborating with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure each students individual education plan (IEP) is effectively implemented. Utilizing appropriate communication methods and assistive technologies to enhance student learning. Monitoring and documenting student progress and adapting instruction accordingly. Desired qualifications and experience: Certification or licensure in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education for K-8. Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in inclusive or specialized settings. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with school teams and families. Knowledge of assistive listening devices, language development, and communication strategies.
