A K-8 educational institution is seeking a skilled Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the 2025-2026 school year. This position is itinerant and based in person, providing specialized support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. The role is scheduled for 20 hours per week, running from August 15, 2025, to June 5, 2026.

Responsibilities include: Delivering individualized and small group instruction tailored to the unique communication and learning needs of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Collaborating with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to support student achievement and access to the general curriculum Developing and implementing appropriate educational plans and accommodations Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records Providing consultative services and resources to staff and families regarding hearing impairments Desired qualifications: Certification or licensure in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Experience working in K-8 educational settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs Familiarity with assistive technologies and hearing support devices This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic and social development of students within a supportive environment. The role requires a commitment to in-person instruction and itinerant service delivery.
