Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instructional lessons that align with individualized education plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing Collaborate with general education teachers, audiologists, speech therapists, and related service providers to support student development Utilize specialized communication methods such as sign language, speechreading, and assistive technology to enhance learning Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adapting teaching techniques as needed to meet diverse needs Provide a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student confidence and achievement Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for parents, administrators, and educational teams Desired Qualifications: Certification or licensure in Deaf Education or related field Proven experience teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing across K-12 grade levels Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of communication modalities used by students Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning community Location:Denver, Colorado available for the current school year on a contract basis This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational experience of students with unique communication needs.
