Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs Collaborate with general education teachers, speech therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive learning atmosphere Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) aligned with students unique requirements Utilize assistive technologies and accommodations effectively to facilitate students access to the curriculum Maintain clear communication with families regarding student progress and strategies for at-home support Participate in professional development opportunities and stay updated on best practices in deaf education Desired Qualifications: Valid teaching certification with endorsement or specialization in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education Proven experience working with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Strong understanding of American Sign Language (ASL) is highly recommended Ability to design and implement differentiated instruction Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both with students and colleagues Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment Location: Windsor, Colorado, within a comprehensive K-12 school environment This assignment is a contract for the current school year, ideal for educators seeking to apply their specialized skills in a meaningful role.
