A K-12 educational opportunity is available for a skilled Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. This contract position will support the academic and social development of students within a structured school environment.

Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across grades K-12 Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet individual learning needs and state standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists and audiologists, to support student progress Utilize assistive technology and communication methods such as sign language to enhance learning Assess and monitor student growth and provide regular feedback to families and school staff Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence Qualifications and Experience: Valid teaching certification with endorsement or specialization in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education Proven experience working with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication strategies preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues Ability to adapt teaching methods to a diverse student population Location: Position based in Arvada, Colorado within a public K-12 school setting Benefits and Perks: Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students educational journeys Collaborative and supportive team environment Contract role duration aligned with the current school year (CSY) Qualified educators passionate about supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students are encouraged to apply to contribute their expertise and dedication to this unique role.
