A dedicated Occupational Therapist is needed to join an Early Childhood team serving children ages 2-5 in an early intervention setting. This contract role supports young learners with diverse communication and developmental needs, fostering success in the classroom and community.

Key Responsibilities: Assess fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, and daily living skills of students. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and goals collaboratively within the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team. Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services in various settings including classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one. Assist teachers and staff by integrating developmentally appropriate strategies into daily classroom routines. Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines. Participate actively in evaluations, eligibility meetings, IEP conferences, and transition planning. Collaborate with parents and guardians to encourage skill generalization across home and community environments. Promote student independence and accessibility to curriculum and learning settings. Qualifications: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Valid state Occupational Therapist license and/or NBCOT registration. State Department of Education certification as required for school-based practice. Experience working with early childhood populations, especially those with developmental delays or disabilities, preferred. Strong knowledge of sensory integration, motor development, and play-based interventions. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with IDEA regulations and early childhood special education inclusive practices. Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment for preschoolers. Bilingual abilities are advantageous. Background in school-based or pediatric therapy settings preferred.
