This opportunity is designed for a dedicated Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) and Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to serve K-12 students within an itinerant role. The position is full-time for the 2025/26 school year and requires working in-person to support students across the district.

Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students, enabling their academic and social development. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs. Deliver orientation and mobility training to help students navigate their environments safely and independently. Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive educational support. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements. Qualifications and Experience: Valid licenses in both Teaching for the Visually Impaired (TVI) and Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS). Experience working with K-12 students who are visually impaired. Ability to manage a caseload and work itinerantly within the district. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and family engagement. Availability to work in-person throughout the school year. Additional Information: This is a contract position for the 2025/26 school year. While the primary focus is on a full-time commitment, part-time candidates are considered to split the caseload.
