A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the upcoming school year at a K-12 school in San Jose, CA. This onsite role focuses on supporting students with moderate to severe needs and offers a consistent 37.5-hour workweek.
The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. Key Responsibilities: Provide speech-language therapy services to K-12 students with moderate to severe disabilities. Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administration to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Supervise and work alongside Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to enhance service delivery. Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school policies. Participate in meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams. Desired Qualifications: Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with moderate to severe impairments. Ability to work onsite full time during school hours. Strong skills in managing and supervising SLPAs. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
