This opening is for an experienced general education Science teacher for grades 6-12 in a K-12 school setting located in Billings, MT. The position is a contract-to-hire with a full academic school year duration. The teacher will be responsible for instructing students in Earth and Physical Science as well as Biology, integrating technology effectively into lessons.

The caseload ranges from 8 to 12 students, with some smaller classes of 4 to 5 due to a wide variety of courses offered, including VoAg, Woodworking, PE, Art, Music, Business Ed, Technology, Social Studies, Mathematics, Special Education, and English. Key Responsibilities: Deliver instruction in Earth and Physical Sciences and Biology to students in grades 6-12. Incorporate technology into the classroom to enhance student learning. Manage class sizes typically between 8-12 students, adapting plans for smaller groups as needed. Collaborate with staff across various subjects offered in the program. Engage with students in a Day Treatment and Residential setting, supporting their educational and behavioral needs. Qualifications: Certification in Science education for grades 6-12. Ability to participate in the Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) training, focusing on de-escalation techniques and safe physical restraint methods. Experience or willingness to work in a therapeutic day treatment/residential educational environment.
