A Life Skills Special Education Teacher position is available for early childhood learners aged 3 to 6 years in an elementary school setting. The role involves working within a resource inclusion classroom alongside four paraprofessionals and another certified teacher, supporting a caseload of approximately 19 students. This contract runs for the current school year with a full-time schedule of 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM.

Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs. Collaborate closely with related services staff to ensure comprehensive support for students. Provide specialized instruction and foster an inclusive learning environment in the classroom. Support paraprofessionals and coordinate with other educators to deliver effective educational strategies. Qualifications: Must hold a valid Texas State Teaching License with a Special Education EC-12 Endorsement. Proven experience in writing and implementing IEPs. Comfortable and skilled in working with young learners with diverse educational needs in an inclusion setting. Strong communication and teamwork abilities to engage with students, staff, and families.
