Qualifications: Bachelors degree or higher in special education Valid Arkansas teaching certificate with required endorsements or subject-level appropriate training Appropriate special education endorsements Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and update IEPs using diagnostic and assessment data Monitor and manage student behavior through classroom discipline, de-escalation techniques, and teaching behavioral strategies Provide guidance and consultation to staff, school teams, and parents regarding behavior management and learning supports Assist students with personal care needs including eating and toileting when necessary Create an engaging, supportive classroom environment that matches student maturity and interests Review referral and assessment data to establish goals and objectives for each student Prepare students for inclusion in mainstream classrooms and for transitions Use appropriate instructional methods and materials to meet educational goals Regularly assess student progress and provide timely progress reports Supervise and evaluate teacher assistants to ensure effective support Maintain professional development, participate in school vision initiatives, and attend staff meetings Perform additional duties as assigned by school administration Location:
