A Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC certification is needed for a full-time maternity leave contract from August 25 to October 3, serving an elementary K-4 caseload. This opportunity is located in Lansdale, PA, within an elementary school setting.
The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role. Responsibilities include: Conducting speech-language screenings and comprehensive evaluations in compliance with IDEA and PA Chapter 14 regulations. Developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with measurable goals tailored to student needs. Providing direct therapy in individual and group settings, including classroom and pull-out sessions. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and related service providers to address student communication needs. Participating in IEP, multidisciplinary, and eligibility meetings. Maintaining accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and Medicaid billing, if applicable. Offering consultation and training to staff on communication strategies. Assisting with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) evaluations and device support. Adhering to professional standards established by ASHA and the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Engaging in child find and RTI/MTSS processes as needed. Qualifications: Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Valid Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification in Speech and Language Impaired PK-12. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; clinical fellows (CFs) may be considered with district supervision. Familiarity with IDEA regulations, IEP development, and data collection. Strong collaboration and organizational abilities. Required clearances: Pennsylvania Criminal History, Child Abuse, and FBI Fingerprinting.
