A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available covering a maternity leave from August 25 to October 3, serving an elementary school with a K-4 caseload in Bethlehem, PA.

This contract role involves providing prevention, assessment, and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders to support student participation in the general education curriculum and achievement of IEP goals. Key Responsibilities: Conduct speech-language screenings and comprehensive evaluations in compliance with IDEA and Pennsylvania Chapter 14 regulations. Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with measurable goals tailored to student needs. Deliver direct therapy services individually and in groups, both in-class and pull-out settings. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to address communication needs. Participate in IEP, multidisciplinary team, and eligibility determination meetings. Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and relevant billing as required. Provide consultation and training to school staff regarding communication strategies and supports. Assist with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) evaluations and device support. Adhere to ethical guidelines set by ASHA and the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Engage in child find and RTI/MTSS processes as applicable. Qualifications: Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Valid PA Department of Education Certification in Speech and Language Impaired PK-12. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows may be considered if supervised. Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and data collection protocols. Strong collaboration and organizational skills. Mandatory clearances: PA Criminal History, Child Abuse, and FBI Fingerprinting.
