A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for the upcoming school year at an elementary school serving students in grades K-4, located in Newton, KS. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting young learners with speech, language, and communication disorders in a collaborative educational setting.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students referred by educators, parents, or specialists. Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) with targeted goals guided by federal, state, and district regulations. Provide direct therapy services to students through individual and small-group sessions. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to embed speech-language objectives into classroom activities. Maintain accurate documentation, progress records, and complete all mandated reporting in a timely fashion. Actively participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and ongoing professional development. Support students using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools as needed. Qualifications: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid state SLP license and/or Department of Education certification. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is required. Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills essential.
