Located in the scenic Upstate New York community of Cortland, this contract opportunity offers a rewarding role supporting K-12 students in a school setting from September 2025 through June 2026. The position primarily focuses on elementary students, with some high school cases, serving a caseload of approximately 28 students.

In this role, you will conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's unique needs. You will deliver direct therapy, collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to implement accommodations, and monitor student progress to adjust interventions when required. Active participation in IEP meetings and goal-setting sessions will be an important part of your responsibilities, along with providing guidance and resources for parents and caregivers. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations and create individualized therapy plans Provide direct, evidence-based speech and language therapy to students K-12 Collaborate with educators to support classroom accommodations and modifications Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal development and progress reporting Offer support and resources to families to enhance student outcomes Qualifications: Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensing Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings preferred Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork Familiarity with IEP processes and relevant educational laws and regulations Benefits include competitive hourly pay, scheduled school hours aligning with the academic calendar, and guaranteed work hours.
