A part-time teaching opportunity is available for an educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing support at an elementary school level. This role focuses on providing tailored instruction to a 3rd grade student who uses cochlear implants and primarily relies on verbal communication but whose family desires increased use of American Sign Language (ASL) in daily learning.

Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to optimize learning outcomes. Attend school activities related to the student's educational development on assigned days. Qualifications and Experience: Certified Teacher of the Deaf (TOD) or equivalent credentials. Experience working with elementary-aged children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Proficiency in American Sign Language and understanding of cochlear implant use. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with families and educational teams. Commitment to a positive, supportive learning environment. Work Schedule and Location: Part-time position supporting the student two days per week (Monday and Thursday). Located in Demopolis, Alabama. Assignment runs for the full current school year, starting as soon as possible.
