A K-12 educational opportunity is available for an experienced Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. This contract position provides the chance to support and empower students with hearing challenges through tailored instruction and individualized education plans.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across K-12 grade levels. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with students unique needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote inclusive learning environments. Utilize a variety of communication methods and assistive technologies to enhance student engagement and understanding. Assess student progress and modify instructional strategies to support educational goals. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and accommodations. Qualifications and Experience: Valid teaching certification in Special Education or Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education. Proven experience working with deaf or hard of hearing students in K-12 settings. Strong knowledge of communication modes such as American Sign Language (ASL), lip reading, and auditory-oral methods. Ability to develop and adapt curriculum based on individual student needs. Excellent collaborative and communication skills with students, families, and team members.
