An educational opportunity is available for a skilled Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within a K-12 setting in San Francisco, CA. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, promoting their academic and social development. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning environments. Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Utilize assistive technologies and communication methods such as American Sign Language (ASL) to enhance student learning. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet diverse needs. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Valid teaching credential with certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education. Experience working with K-12 Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in a school setting. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desired. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of current educational standards and legal requirements pertaining to students with hearing impairments.
