A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) position is available to provide essential health services in a K-12 school setting. This contract role spans the academic year from September through June 2025 and requires onsite presence at a school location in Paterson, NJ. Responsibilities include: Conducting school health services such as physical examinations, immunizations, and hearing and vision tests Coordinating care and communication with the supervising Registered Nurse (RN) Providing one-on-one care for students as needed Maintaining accurate and up-to-date cumulative health records for all students Administering first aid following established procedures Advising teachers on health-related matters affecting students Required qualifications and experience: Current licensure as an LPN or LVN Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred Ability to perform routine health screenings and administer immunizations Strong organizational skills for record-keeping and maintaining confidentiality Effective communication skills to collaborate with school staff and healthcare professionals Work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, within regular school hours.
