This full-time social worker position supports students in grades K-5 within a K-12 school setting located in Elgin, IL. The role is contract-based for the full school year and requires immediate availability.
The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. Responsibilities: Provide social work services addressing student behavioral, emotional, and social needs. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to develop individual support plans. Conduct assessments and provide counseling to students as needed. Facilitate referrals to community resources and support services. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies. Qualifications: Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) with Social Work endorsement. Experience working with elementary-aged students (grades K-5) preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
