Overview

When you join Verizon, you’ll be part of a team focused on growth, customer service, and technology-based sales. This is a full-time Verizon Retail Sales Associate role located at a Verizon store. The position offers base pay with potential commissions and a comprehensive benefits package starting day one.

What you’ll be doing

• Generate retail sales by using your passion for cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network.
• Learn and uncover customers’ needs by creating connections and asking the right questions.
• Position product insights and solution recommendations to provide customers with a complete top-down sales solution.
• Close sales by using communication skills to fulfill customer needs with simple and intuitive tech solutions.
• Continuously develop yourself through ongoing training and up-skill in operational functions across merchandising and inventory.
• Grow your customer base by placing outbound calls and sending text messages to current Verizon customers who are interested in our products and services.
• Engage with the community outside of the store to expand your loyal customer base, including at off-site Verizon-sponsored events.

We’re hiring immediately. This isn’t just an entry-level retail position. Depending on experience, base pay is $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, with potential to earn up to $16,000 per year in individual commissions if sales goals are met. Top performers may earn additional commissions, with a total potential compensation between $65,000 and $73,500+ annually. Compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need to have:

• High school diploma or GED
• One or more years of relevant experience (work or military)
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (scheduling available four weeks in advance)
• Openness to pick up additional shifts, especially during peak periods

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience working in a commission-based environment
• Demonstrated sales experience in helping customers find solutions
• Customer service experience
