Position Title: IT Support Instructional Assistant

Reports To: Managing Director

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are currently seeking an Information Technology Support Instructional Assistant to join our Curriculum & Adult Learning organization. This person will join the Curriculum & Adult Learning team and will be responsible for the following:

Overall Focus

Candidates should be able to provide effective support in the classroom and be eager to grow their own technical knowledge. In particular, they should be able to:

• Assist the lead instructor both in and out-of-class in the teaching and administration of the class.
• Display knowledge and/or interest in information technology, software and hardware support, network administration, technology education.

What You’ll Do:

Out-of-Class Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assist and/or collaborate with the instructor to:
  • Grade and/or review assessments, class projects, and other materials
  • Enter student grades into LMS software and grading templates
  • Update Salesforce data as necessary
• Review curriculum materials and assessments weekly and report to instructor and curriculum development team any proofreading or subject-matter errors
• Assist instructor with the preparation of daily agenda to students
• Schedule time with instructor and students to discuss class challenges
• Monitor learner attendance, certifications’ progress, etc.

In-Class Tasks and Responsibilities

• Monitor class as it is in progress – ensuring overall functionality (audio, video, screen appearance, etc.)
• Serve as class timekeeper, monitor breaks and other scheduling information
• Monitor students during test-taking and break-out group activities
• Note challenges presented during class, including:
  • Disengaged or dominating students
  • Typically quiet students

For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary of $41,600.00/year, where the difference in salary is typically determined by geography and alignment with qualifications and experience.
