Position Title: Cybersecurity Instructional Assistant
Office: Columbus, OH
Reports To: Site Director
Who we are looking for
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Instructional Assistant to join our Curriculum & Adult Learning organization. This role supports the classroom and helps grow the team’s technical knowledge. In particular, you should be able to:
Overall Focus: Provide effective support in the classroom and be eager to grow your own technical knowledge. You should be able to:
- Assist the lead instructor in teaching and administration of the class, both in and out of class.
- Display knowledge and/or interest in information technology, software and hardware support, network administration, and technology education.
What you’ll do
Out-of-Class Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist and/or collaborate with the instructor to:
- Grade and/or review assessments, class projects, and other materials
- Enter student grades into LMS software and grading templates
- Update Salesforce data as necessary
- Review curriculum materials and assessments weekly and report errors to the instructor and curriculum development team
- Assist instructor with the preparation of the daily agenda for students
- Schedule time with instructor and students to discuss class challenges
- Monitor learner attendance and progress toward certifications
- In-Class Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Monitor class progress, ensuring functionality (audio, video, screen appearance, etc.)
- Serve as class timekeeper and monitor breaks and scheduling
- Monitor students during tests and breakout activities
- Note challenges such as disengagement or dominance in discussion and report to instructors
