The Healthcare Industry Group (HIG), a subsidiary of A&M, delivers transformational change in healthcare. Our professionals advise on financial and operational performance improvement, strategic growth, and value realization across the investment lifecycle. HIG offers expertise in interim management, restructuring, revenue cycle management, M&A, compliance and regulatory, digital technology and analytics. The Healthcare Services (HCS) practice focuses on private equity portfolio companies and healthcare providers. HCS services include performance improvement/operational turnarounds, cost optimization, M&A services, finance operations, and interim management (including CFO services). Responsibilities
Work closely with healthcare clients on complex assignments, using independent judgment and critical thinking to gather data, design practical solutions, and drive financial and operational improvements. Identify opportunities to reduce cost structure by redesigning org structures, removing non-value-added tasks, and refocusing on value-added activities. Optimize month-end close processes and management reporting to support decision making. Build and manage financial models and conduct analyses (e.g., synergy analyses, 13-week cash flow, pro forma statements). Assist in crisis management and execution of performance improvement plans. Develop operational data analyses to create KPI metrics and drive change; conduct client interviews to understand operations. Summarize analyses, draw conclusions, and present recommendations. Lead work streams, manage day-to-day engagement priorities, and mentor junior staff. Prepare client-ready deliverables and presentations; present findings to clients. Build client relationships and identify opportunities to expand engagement scope. Support marketing initiatives through pitch preparation and marketing materials. Contribute to product and service offering tools and templates. Qualifications
High-energy individuals with a passion for healthcare and solving complex issues. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in healthcare, consulting, or healthcare-related fields (e.g., healthcare banking, accounting, audit, private equity, or healthcare operations). Advanced Excel proficiency with experience in financial modeling; ability to build 13-week cash flow and three-statement model is a plus. Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; experience with Visio, Tableau/Power BI, SQL, SPSS, benchmarking is a plus. Strong project management and organizational skills. Working knowledge of healthcare industry, including healthcare finance and operations, with understanding of relevant laws and regulations. Ability to use sound judgment and escalate issues as needed; ability to coach and mentor junior staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for all client levels. Willingness and ability to travel as required. BA/BS and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or related healthcare fields (e.g., MHA or MPH); professional certifications such as CPA or CFA, or progress toward such certificates. Your Journey at A&M
