Job Title: Patient Services Representative I
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the face of the company to patients, providing support during their health routines or for important health decisions. The PSR I draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing, following established procedures. This role involves direct patient contact, requiring the creation of a trustworthy environment and effective communication about procedures. The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and maintains confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient information.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens confidently, following established practices.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image and demonstrate organizational commitment to patients, clients, and the public.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience required; 1+ years preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
