Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager to oversee the month-end close process and ensure compliance with SOX requirements. This role is responsible for leading a team, managing daily accounting operations, and supporting internal and external audits. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with month-end close, and the ability to implement and maintain effective internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX 404 internal control requirements across all accounting processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, account analyses, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop, document, and enhance internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Partner with auditors during financial and SOX audits by preparing schedules, responding to requests, and ensuring timely completion.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Treasury, Operations, and other teams to support business initiatives and provide insights.
  • Drive process improvements and identify opportunities for automation within accounting and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of month-end close processes, GAAP, and SOX compliance.
  • Experience in a public company environment strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
