Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, performing reconciliations, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, experience with SAP Business One, and is a self-starter who works well independently. Tenured Senior Accountants welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting activities, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll entries, and general ledger transactions.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, adjusting entries, and reconciliations for financial accounts, bank accounts, and credit card statements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging, follow up with clients on overdue payments, and generate invoices and statements.
  • Oversee accounts payable processes, including vendor invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and vendor verification.
  • Track and analyze manufacturing or operational costs, including labor, materials, and overhead allocations.
  • Manage inventory accounting, monitor inventory movements, perform monthly reconciliations, and update valuations.
  • Assist with annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure timely filing of sales, property, payroll, and other compliance-related taxes or reports.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Minimum 5-6 years’ experience at a Senior level position or higher
  • Experience in Manufacturing / Industrial Manufacturing preferred
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Ability to acclimate rapidly and works highly effectively independently or within team
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency with SAP and Advanced MS Excel required; SAP Business One highly preferred
