Manufacturing Engineer

Zing Recruiting is partnering with a leading automotive plastics manufacturer in the Elberton, GA area, seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their day shift team. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic, technology-driven environment with strong opportunities for growth and skill development.

Manufacturing Engineer Job Summary

• Pay: $65,000 – $85,000, BOE
• Shift: Day Shift
• Manage projects involving injection molding machines, automation, layout, and post-process equipment
• Support installation and equipment launch/series projects
• Plan and develop schedules, layouts, and budgets, reporting to Technical Manager
• Continuously optimize machine cycle, color change, and tool change times
• Champion Kaizen teams and follow MTU APQP procedures
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain process documentation
• Collaborate with diverse teams including plant staff, engineers, technicians, and vendors

Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications

• 5–10 years experience in Automotive Injection Molding and Process Engineering
• Strong maintenance or machine design background in manufacturing
• Basic PLC programming experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley systems
• Experience with automated plastic assembly machines (sonic welding, heat welding, assembly checking)
• Knowledge of OEM customer-specific requirements and CMMS systems
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CAD programs
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Plastics Engineering preferred
• Ability to work weekends or shutdowns as assigned
• Office-based with some exposure to production areas (noise, heat, hot plastic, oil, water)
• Travel to customer and supplier locations as needed
