Airgas is hiring for an Account Executive in Tulsa, OK or Springfield, MO (can be based in either location). At Airgas, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. We are looking for a dynamic sales professional who can manage strategic accounts, grow revenue, and deliver comprehensive solutions across welding processes, industrial gases (including bulk and cylinder), and welding hard goods (equipment, consumables, safety gear).
- Identify business opportunities by researching industry and related events and sources.
- Engage with executive-level stakeholders to facilitate change and maintain strategic partnerships.
- Develop and negotiate contracts, submit sales activity reports (via Salesforce) including weekly itineraries.
- Build and maintain prospect lists; develop negotiating strategies aligned with company goals.
- Show products and communicate pricing, delivery, payments and service details; act as liaison between customer and company.
- Complete required administrative tasks accurately and timely (reports, expenses, mileage, etc.).
- Maintain up-to-date product and industry knowledge and participate in professional development.

Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new and existing accounts with emphasis on metal fabrication and related product sales.
- Develop and negotiate contracts integrating customer requirements with business operations.
- Provide product demonstrations and act as a liaison for pricing, products, delivery, and service inquiries.
- Prepare and submit reports and maintain Salesforce records; monitor month-end activities.
- Ensure safety compliance and adherence to state, federal, and company safety procedures.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (required): Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Welding) or related technical field.
Technical Expertise
This role demands technical proficiency in Welding Processes, Industrial Gases, and related hard goods.
- Welding Processes: SMAW, GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, FCAW, SAW; cutting processes: plasma, oxy-fuel, laser.
- Industrial Gases: Argon, CO2, Oxygen, Acetylene, Nitrogen, Hydrogen, Helium; gas delivery systems; safety protocols.
- Hard Goods (Welding Equipment & Consumables): welding machines, electrodes, filler metals, safety gear, torches and accessories.
- Automation & Robotics: familiarity with robotic welding cells and automated solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree (MBA or relevant engineering discipline) is advantageous.
- Certifications (beneficial): AWS CWI, CSP, or other industry certifications.
