Dental Hygienist Job at New Jersey Dental Association in Wayne

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral health. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with both patients and the dental team to ensure a positive experience in our clinic.

Seeking Wednesdays 8AM-5PM and Thursdays 12PM-7PM may lead into additional hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages.
• Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing oral health issues.
• Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the system.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Follow aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and clean environment for patient care.
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care and improve overall clinic efficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
• Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with medical records management.
• Knowledge of Dentrix or similar dental software is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
