CNA Qualifications

  • Active NYS Certified Nursing Assistant license
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or RQI)
  • At least 1 year of experience in long-term care or as a CNA
  • Available for full shift orientation on Tuesday or Thursday
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

CNA Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct and indirect resident care under supervision of licensed nursing staff
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs): hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable environment; respond promptly to call lights and alarms
  • Support residents’ nutritional needs: meal delivery, tray preparation, feeding assistance
  • Facilitate rehabilitative and restorative care: range of motion exercises, ambulation, transfers
  • Accurately document care and observations per facility protocols
  • Report changes in resident status, rights, refusals, and concerns to supervising nurse
  • Follow infection control policies and procedures, including bloodborne pathogen precautions
