Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Long Term Care, Locum Tenens in Waterloo, NY. Flexible per diem scheduling while providing compassionate clinical support to adult and geriatric residents.

Job Details

• Location: Waterloo, NY 13165
• Setting: Long Term Care (LTC) facility
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel/Contract CNA job)
• Start Date: October 7, 2025
• End Date: February 21, 2026
• Duration: Approximately 20 weeks
• Schedule: Minimum 24 hours within a 4-week period, including at least 2 weekend shifts; full-day orientation required on Tuesday or Thursday
• Holiday Coverage: Contract includes holiday season shifts
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $830-$890

CNA Qualifications

• Active New York State (NYS) Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA license)
• Current BLS certification (AHA or RQI)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in long term care or CNA role
• Ability to complete required orientation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

CNA Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect resident care under supervision of licensed nursing staff
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs): hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, turning/positioning, and skin care
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment; promptly respond to call lights and alarms
• Support nutritional needs: assist with meal delivery, tray preparation, feeding, and honoring resident preferences
• Facilitate rehabilitative care: range of motion, ambulation, transfers, and use of assistive devices
• Accurately document care provided per protocol
• Report resident rights, refusals, concerns, and changes in status to Charge Nurse promptly
• Follow all safety and infection control protocols, including blood borne pathogen precautions
