Overview

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Long-Term Care (LTC) position in Penn Yan, NY. This locum tenens, part-time CNA job in long-term care offers rewarding clinical experience and the opportunity to make a positive impact on residents' lives. Start date: October 7, 2025. End date: February 21, 2026. Schedule: Part-time; rotating 2 shifts one week, 3 shifts the next (37.5 hours biweekly). Shifts: Day/Evening (12-hour shifts). Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday coverage required. Orientation: Mandatory full-day orientation on Tuesday or Thursday. Estimated weekly salary: $830–$890.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate resident care in accordance with individualized care plans, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, turning/positioning, and skin care
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment by responding promptly to call lights and following safety protocols
• Assist with meal delivery, tray preparation, feeding, and support residents\' nutritional needs
• Support rehabilitative and restorative activities such as range of motion, ambulation, transfers, and use of assistive devices
• Document care provided and promptly report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to the supervising nurse
• Uphold residents' rights and communicate refusals or concerns to the charge nurse
• Follow all infection control and safety procedures, including proper handling of bloodborne pathogens and body fluids

Qualifications

• Active New York State (NYS) Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA license) – minimum 1 year
• Current BLS certification (AHA or RQI)
• At least 1 year of experience as a CNA or in long-term care
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to attend required orientation
• Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
