About the Role:
Our client, a well-established company in the insurance industry, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator to oversee daily operations and keep business functions running seamlessly. This is a dynamic role requiring strong multi-tasking skills to manage office communications, onboarding, payroll, compliance reporting, and financial processes.
As the Office Administrator, you’ll play a key role in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations, supporting leadership, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
Location: Columbia, SC 29223
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (40 hours/week)
Pay: $45,000–$60,000 (based on healthcare/insurance industry and leadership experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee employee onboarding, personnel records, and shared calendars
- Process payroll and benefits reporting on the 1st & 15th of each month
- Prepare and submit compliance reports; respond to security alerts as needed
- Manage office communications, scheduling, and supply inventory
- Support bookkeeping, accounts receivable, and financial reporting in QuickBooks
- Track budgets and spending on projects and advertising initiatives
- Assist with audits, insurance renewals, and operational updates
- Provide backup support for commissions and customer service when needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency
- Prior experience in office administration, payroll, and compliance (insurance industry experience strongly preferred)
