Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II (PSR II)
to perform accurate blood specimen collection while creating a professional and compassionate environment for patients. The PSR II ensures compliance with collection standards, maintains patient trust, and supports diagnostic testing accuracy. This role requires excellent technical and communication skills and the ability to adapt to high-volume, multi-site healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and process
blood specimens
in compliance with established procedures. Verify patient demographics and ensure tube labeling accuracy post-venipuncture. Explain procedures to patients and maintain a professional environment. Manage clinical and forensic specimen collections. Maintain accurate documentation and records of all collections. Provide coverage across multiple Patient Service Centers or physician offices as required. Demonstrate
Superior Customer Focus
while managing multiple priorities in a high-volume setting. Adhere to dress code, health & safety guidelines, and confidentiality standards. Required Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years of
phlebotomy experience , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Keyboard/data entry experience required. Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Customer service experience in retail or healthcare preferred. Nice-to-Have Experience:
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training. Phlebotomy certification (mandatory in CA, NV, WA; preferred in CO). Experience covering multiple collection sites. Required Skills:
Pediatric & Geriatric Phlebotomy Expertise Data Entry Accuracy Specimen Collection & Verification Preferred Skills:
Customer Service in Healthcare Settings Strong Communication & Patient Engagement Independent Workflow & Multi-site Flexibility Confidentiality & Compliance Awareness Adaptability in High-Volume Environments Additional Skills:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required). Ability to work holidays, weekends, overtime, and on-call if needed. Strong problem-solving and adaptability to change. Benefits:
