The
Phlebotomist
Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
is the
face of the organization
to patients, delivering quality phlebotomy services in a professional and caring manner. The PSR I ensures accurate specimen collection and preparation while fostering trust and confidence with patients. This role emphasizes
leadership behaviors, confidentiality,
and
process excellence .
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily specimen collection and processing duties accurately and on time Draw quality blood samples, ensuring safety and patient comfort Maintain a professional, safe, and welcoming environment Keep accurate records and required documentation Promote organizational commitment and a positive public image Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience (1+ year preferred) Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws Customer service experience in retail or healthcare preferred Keyboard/data entry proficiency Nice-to-Have Experience
Medical assistant or paramedic training Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA) Required Skills
Venipuncture and specimen handling Accuracy in clinical and forensic collection Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Skills
Data entry and patient documentation Strong interpersonal and communication skills Additional Skills
Flexibility to cover weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in patient records Benefits
