The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the

frontline of diagnostic services , delivering expert blood collection and ensuring patient comfort. Operating under supervision, the PSR I performs specimen collection with professionalism and accuracy while maintaining strong communication and data tracking in a clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Collect clinical blood samples following established protocols. Prepare specimens for lab testing with proper documentation and verification. Foster a welcoming, professional environment for patients. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and HIPAA compliance throughout daily operations. Document procedures accurately and in real time. Demonstrate flexibility to adjust to weekend, holiday, or overtime needs. Required Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (1+ years preferred). Proficient in pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy. Strong data entry and computer skills. Customer service experience in clinical, retail, or service environments preferred. Nice-to-Have Experience

Medical assistant or paramedic background. Experience floating between multiple collection sites. Required Skills

Competency in venipuncture and capillary collection Independent and reliable decision-making Adaptability in fast-paced environments Patient communication and professionalism Preferred Skills

Familiarity with HIPAA compliance Comfort with travel between facilities Ability to multitask under pressure Additional Skills
