The

Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)

serves as the

face of care

for patients visiting for routine or diagnostic lab work. This role combines excellent

customer service ,

technical phlebotomy skills , and a compassionate demeanor to ensure a safe, smooth, and accurate collection process. The PSR I prepares samples for lab testing in accordance with strict clinical and regulatory standards and fosters a supportive atmosphere through clear communication and procedural transparency.

Key Responsibilities

Perform quality blood draws and clinical specimen collection with safety and accuracy Prepare and process lab specimens for diagnostic testing Deliver excellent patient experiences through education, reassurance, and professionalism Maintain accurate records and documentation Uphold patient privacy and regulatory compliance Participate in daily site operations and safety practices Remain flexible for staffing coverage including

weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime Represent the client with integrity and support quality service outcomes Required Experience

Minimum 6 months of recent experience in phlebotomy 3+ years preferred, including high-volume draw environments Strong experience with pediatric and geriatric patients Familiarity with

Reference Labs

(e.g., Quest, LabCorp, CPL, PathGroup) Nice-to-Have Experience

Previous work in a

retail, clinic, or hospital

environment Customer-facing roles requiring fast-paced multitasking Required Skills

Excellent phlebotomy technique Confidence in difficult draws Pediatric and geriatric patient care Proficient in data entry and patient documentation High school diploma or equivalent Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, WA) Preferred Skills

Medical Assistant or Paramedic training Comfort with forensic and clinical processing protocols Strong communication and patient education abilities Additional Skills
