Senior System Administrator (MSP Projects Team)
This role is with Bowman Williams, a growing Managed Services Provider. The Senior System Administrator will tackle complex projects, guide clients through infrastructure changes, and step in when technical challenges exceed basics. The role focuses on projects and implementations ranging from server builds and migrations to cloud deployments and network redesigns. While escalations may occur occasionally, the primary impact is shaping and delivering technical solutions for clients. Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute infrastructure projects including migrations, deployments, and upgrades Architect and support Microsoft 365, Azure, and hybrid environments Configure, secure, and optimize network infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs, VLANs) Resolve advanced technical escalations when required Maintain and manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP services Document configurations, processes, and system changes in detail Partner with clients to understand needs and recommend best-fit solutions Mentor team members and share knowledge to raise technical capabilities Desired Experience
2+ years working for an MSP Proven ability to lead projects and deliver results in client-facing roles Strong background in Windows Server environments and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) Hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365, Azure, and hybrid deployments Solid troubleshooting skills across desktops, servers, and networks Excellent communication and client-facing skills Certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, or Azure are preferred Benefits
