Talent Acquisition Specialist
to join our client, a leading public utility, for a 3-month engagement in Columbus, OH. This role is responsible for managing full life-cycle recruiting to attract diverse, highly qualified talent across multiple business units. The ideal candidate brings proven success in sourcing, closing, and managing the recruiting process while delivering an exceptional candidate and client experience. Responsibilities Execute full life-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management. Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to build diverse, qualified talent pipelines for current and future needs. Partner with hiring leaders to understand workforce requirements and provide guidance on market trends, candidate availability, and recruiting best practices. Conduct resume reviews, phone screens, and present candidate slates; advise hiring leaders on selection and offer processes. Negotiate and close candidates while ensuring competitive and equitable hiring outcomes. Provide a best-in-class candidate experience, maintaining consistent communication and feedback throughout the hiring process. Serve as a brand ambassador, communicating the organization's value proposition to strengthen its presence in the talent market. Accurately track and maintain applicant data in the Applicant Tracking System (Workday), ensuring compliance with OFCCP guidelines. Leverage multiple sourcing channels, social media platforms, and recruitment events to expand reach. Support diversity and community recruiting initiatives in alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to continuously refine recruiting strategies and share best practices.
Required Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 24 years of full life-cycle recruiting experience across a wide variety of roles. Minimum of 2 years in sourcing and closing candidates in a metrics-driven environment. Strong organizational, time management, and relationship-building skills. Proficient with Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field. Experience with Workday ATS.
