We are looking for a strong, talented, results-driven Senior Product Marketing Manager to join the Proofpoint Email Security Product Marketing team. You will drive the Go-to-Market strategy for the Proofpoint Threat Protection solution and partner with product management, marketing, and sales to build and execute GTM plans. The ideal candidate is a driven self-starter, a diplomatic collaborator, a strategic thinker who is hands-on and exercises sound judgment. Your Day-to-Day Positioning and Messaging:
Be the expert on our buyers—their needs and buying criteria. Craft clear messaging that differentiates our solutions and communicates business value.
Content Creation:
Develop compelling messaging and content (webinars, blogs, solution briefs, datasheets, presentations) to reach target buyers.
Presentation Lead:
Present content to internal and external audiences, including sales training, customer briefings, webinars, events, and briefings. Be the primary thought leader for the supported solutions.
Domain Expert:
Research market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Translate insights into actionable guidance for sales, marketing, product management, and others.
Launch Execution:
Lead cross-functional teams in planning and launching new solution capabilities and releases to generate demand and awareness.
Sales Enablement:
Create and deliver enablement content and tools to help sellers communicate value.
Dynamic Collaboration:
Collaborate with product management, corporate marketing, competitive intelligence, and sales to align on release benefits and business goals.
Customer Advocacy:
Identify and leverage customer stories to strengthen positioning and messaging.
Note: Travel to events and meetings is expected, approximately 10-15%. What You Bring To The Team 8+ years of experience in product marketing. Email security, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT experience preferred.
BS/BA in business or technical field; MBA a plus.
Proven experience marketing to enterprise and technical buyers with concise messaging.
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor content to target audiences.
Ability to translate market knowledge into actionable Go-to-Market plans.
Analytical, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills in diverse teams.
Ability to articulate unique value at both product and solution levels; strong public speaking skills.
High energy and enthusiasm; willingness to travel as noted above.
