Overview

Specialty Representative, Psychiatry – Chesapeake, Virginia. Field-based role; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. Responsibilities

Execute brand strategy and tactics in field operations to drive sales performance, meet brand KPIs, and achieve marketing objectives. Develop pre-call plans and post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance; handle objections and calls to action to close on sales opportunities. Proactively address customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers. Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set metrics, optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers, and maximizes access and sales opportunities. Gather and share market intelligence on customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, and product/clinical know-how with in-field and brand teams to align strategy and execution. Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identify disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience; relevant experience may be substituted for a degree In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, at least five (5) years of industry experience with three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector preferred; high school diploma/GED required Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge with strong business acumen; capable of strategic thinking and using business tools Ability to adapt selling approaches to customer styles; strong presentation and communication skills Proven track record in sales with the ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment; contributes innovative ideas and solutions to maximize opportunities Influences others and builds collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix team Leads by example with positive behaviors and coaching; evidence of leadership and increased responsibility Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements Ability to travel to cover territory and attend training events and meetings, including overnight stays Proficiency in English is preferred for non-English speaking regions Must satisfy all HCIR credentialing requirements to access facilities in the assigned territory Compensation and Benefits

Base pay range: $78,500.00/yr - $192,500.00/yr This range is provided by AbbVie; your actual pay will be based on skills and experience. Discuss with your recruiter for details. Includes a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) for eligible employees; eligibility for short-term and long-term incentive programs.
